We will cover the basic principles of photography with a focus on your ability to use manual settings to give you full creative control, this will include; aperture, shutter speed, ISO and basic lighting requirements.  You will learn the best way to use your camera settings for use in a variety of situations.

We will then look at a basic digital workflow, exploring the best way to get your images from camera to print, you will learn how to manipulate your images on a computer to improve and enhance them.

The course is structured around a series of practical briefs you will work on between classes, with weekly group discussions about your images.  Half way through the course, you will choose from a selection of briefs and begin to work on a set of images in response.  You will work towards a final set of prints over the next few weeks with one to one help, group tutorials and workshops on printing and presenting your work.
