Assessment

Assessment for this module comprises:

  • a written assignment (1,500 words) where you will complete an application form for funding the development of an in vitro-diagnostic device which will assess core knowledge of design requirements and commercialisation of innovation including the understanding of regulatory frameworks that govern existing technologies related to the healthcare landscape.
  • A presentation (10 minutes) to test your understanding of how regulatory frameworks are important to the design, development and adoption of new technology. Here, using a media clip assessment (10 minutes), you will need to communicate how a product operates and articulate the regulatory frameworks required to design such a product.

You will be supported through formative feedback during tutorial classes, where you will benefit from peer-to-peer learning. Assessment support tutorials will also be provided specific to each assessment.
