Introduction

Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Design, Construction and Operations is fast becoming the industry standard approach to designing, analysing, and managing building lifecycle.

BIM in Construction Operation looks at a range of BIM approaches and applications for construction planning and operations, including simulating construction schedules and logistics, buildability forecasting and clash detection.

Learning and Teaching

The module is delivered by way of five study days for face to face teaching. Recorded lectures and the use of email discussion groups of virtual learning environments (VLEs) and other technology-aided means are also employed.

Study facilities

UWE Bristol has invested significantly in online and campus resources to support your study. We use the 'Blackboard Collaborate Ultra' online platform to deliver an integrated learning experience and you also have access to a vast number of professional and academic journals and databases online through the UWE Bristol library.

The University has excellent facilities, accessible to all students, as required, however, it is expected that much of the work will be carried out within the work environment.

Take a personalised virtual tour of the Construction, Property and Surveying facilities and experience what a typical day could look like here for you.
