Introduction

Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Design, Construction and Operations is fast becoming the industry standard approach to designing, analysing, and managing building lifecycle.

Low/Zero-Impact Buildings assesses the role of BIM in designing and operating comfortable buildings that significantly reduce or eliminate energy use. You will evaluate low or zero-carbon and renewable technologies, apply BIM to evaluate buildings' environmental performance and explore the impact of Part L, BREEAM, LEED and EPC ratings.

Learning and Teaching

The module is delivered by way of five study days for face-to-face teaching. Recorded lectures and the use of email discussion groups of virtual learning environments (VLEs) and other technology-aided means are also employed.

Study facilities

The University has excellent facilities, accessible to all students, as required; however, it is expected that much of the work will be carried out within the work environment.

Find out more about the facilities and resources UWE Bristol has to offer.
