Structure

The Skills Bootcamp will run across a 12-week period encompassing eight live session days alongside self-study activity to develop your individual live project brief and prepare you for the APM Fundamentals exam.

Sessions will be delivered through a mix of in-person days at Frenchay Campus, Bristol and online group sessions.

Through the live sessions you will focus on core skills used in project management, working through the project lifecycle stages and appropriate approaches and tools you can use at each stage:

  • Defining your project
  • Planning your project
  • Delivering your project
  • Effective project closure

The programme also integrates a sustainability lens exploring the environmental, economic and social aspects across the project life cycle and how to align your project to business objectives with broader societal and ecological goals.

The Bootcamp will also look at the digital technologies learners can use to support working effectively, and the important role data visualisation and storytelling can play in decision-making.

Across the sessions, you will develop a live project brief drawing from your learning across the sessions and explore digital tools available to you to help you implement your project successfully and efficiently.

See our programme brochure (PDF) for more detail on the programme and session content.
